Who was effected and in what ways?
Jim crow laws segregated Blacks from Whites. Blacks couldn't do anything together with White people could do it and they weren't allowed to important rights like voting. Another law was that Black people couldn't go to the same school White people and Black schools usually had less money and less supplies. Black people also couldn't not apply for the same jobs as White people. Black people were forced to sit in the back of buses or have to stand up if a Whit person wanted the seat. Black people had to drink from different water fountains and eat at different restaurants. Black people couldn't go to the same parks as White people. Black people neighborhoods weren't as nice as White neighborhoods. They could not shop in the same stores as White people. Lastly, if a Black person said something bad to a White person they could be sent to prison or even killed.
